Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer

Responsibilities:
  1. Develop data integration solutions for the extraction, transformation and loading of data into data warehouse.
  2. Develop import procedures for gathering, storing and analysing corporate data from various other sources.
  3. Develop dimensional models to support data warehousing requirements.
  4. Analyse business requirements and develop unique simple solutions to meet the immediate and long-term BI demands of the group.
  5. Successful delivery of business intelligence information to the management.
  6. Carry out any other development related with Data Warehouse and BI.
  7. Training end users on new reports and dashboards.
  8. Prepare technical documentation for data warehouses, such as metadata and diagrams of entity relationships, business processes, and process flow.
Requirements:
  1. B.Sc. /M.Sc. in Computer Science, Data Science or related field;
  2. Passion for using data visualization tools to turn complex data sets into actionable insights;
  3. Strong SQL skills and experience with large data sets required
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  5. Ability to translate complex source data into a consumable format and structure
  6. Ability in liaising with product management and content owners to produce impactful visualizations
  7. Expertise in data visualization, including dashboard development and design principles using Power BI or Tableau or other reporting tools
  8. Design and implement complex, multi-step ETLs
  9. Perform data profiling, data mapping, and data quality validation
  10. Knowledge of data warehouse design concepts such as star and snowflake schema design, and slowly changing dimensions
  11. Excellent knowledge of the English Language both written and oral
  12. Interest in data modelling and statistical analysis with Python or R will be considered as an advantage
  13. Familiarity with cloud services and source control systems will be considered as an advantage
  14. Experience in financial markets will be considered as an advantage
  15. Written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence others will be considered as an advantage
  16. Experience with Agile/Scrum Methodology will be considered as an advantage
